Importancia del estudio de la hemostasia y coagulación de las enfermedades tromboembólicas

Resumen

 La prevalencia de la enfermedad tromboembólica es alta en nuestro medio. Existen factores de riesgo como la edad, obesidad. hipertensión, diabetes, sedentarismo, anticonceptivos, sepsis, cáncer, tabaquismo, dietas ricas en grasas, venas varicosas. La causa desencadenante es la arteroesclerosis, flebitis que producen la formación de trombos in situ asociados a la hipercoagulabilidad, inflamación y desórdenes del metabolismo de los lípidos, asàcomo también la migración de émbolos. Las manifestaciones clínicas dependen del órgano afectado pero el tratamiento es el mismo, que consiste en la terapia anticoagulante.


Nuestros resultados demuestran la importancia de estudiar los parámetros de hipercoagulabilidad. Encontramos que el 83% de los casos son por hipercoagulabilidad, sóla o asociada a otras causas como por inflamación en el 45.5% y por hiperlipidemia en el 45.7%.
