The Ecuadorian Journal of Medicine and Biological Sciences (REMCB) is means of scientific diffusion of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (PUCE), Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana Benjamín Carrión and the Ecuadorian Society of Biology , and is published by the Publishing Center of PUCE.

 REMCB publishes original scientific research that has not been submitted for publication in any print or electronic medium. The fields of research included all areas in Medical and Biological Sciences, and is addressed to the national and international scientists as well as to the students of life sciences.

 REMCB is included in the calatogue of Latindex 2.0 information system (e-ISSN 2477-9148) , REDIB and Dialnet. It is published twice a year, it is an open access journal and the content is available througt a Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 License. The content of the articles appearing in the journal is the sole responsibility of the authors.
