Abstract

In this study we analyzed the results obtained in what is referred as the ALLERGIC RHINITIS according to the international study ISAAC III carried out in the city during the year of 2003. The international, randomized survey involved 3055 children and  3014  adolescents representating several socio-economic strata of the city, based on the Population's Census of the year 2001 and the data of Ministry of Public Education. The prevalence of the non-infectious disease is 27% in children and 36% in adolescents; 14% and 23% respectively, of rinoconjuntivitis. The diagnosed Rinitis is of 16% in the two groups. Of these, 80% of the children and 46% of the youths have had some medical  treatment.  The  frequency of the clinically, light  persistent rinitis is predominant, and there are very few persistent serious cases. The increase times correspond to the first six months of the year.
