Abstract

Nematodes are a very frequent phytosanitary problem in passion fruit, causing the appearance and proliferation of the typical root nodules that obstruct sap flow, reduce productive production and the life expectancy of the plant. The susceptibility of this crop is mainly to the attack of phytonmatodes belonging to the genera: Meloidogyne, Helicotylenchus and Rotylenchus. Benzimidazoles are cyclic nitrogenous organic compounds with antiparasitic activity. Labitech's Bioterr, formulated with types of benzimidazole, allowed to study its novel effect in the control of phytonmatodes when administered with humic acids, known as modifiers of soil corpuscles and molecular transporters. Little effect was found on saprophytes, also considered as soil modifiers. The controls indicated a significant infection by nematodes, evidenced by the presence of root nodules, absence of secondary roots, lower root weight and low production, contrary to the results observed after treatment, evidenced by a significant reduction in the number of nematodes, presence of secondary roots, higher total root weight and better yields
