Sudden death due to ruptured pulmonary artery aneurysm

Abstract

A case of a congenital cardiopathy is describe, ehich due to its chronic course permitted the survival of the patient to the adult age. A clinical dignosis of an aortic-pulmonary short-circuit could be established, with pulmonary hypertension due to the development of an aneurismatic dilatation of the pulmonary artery. It´s rupture, confirmed by autopsy, produced the death of the patient.
