Abstract

According to the chemical-bacterial theory of caries and the confirmed thesis of Seguin, of the Pasteur Institute: "every microbe that can produce a significant amount of acidity at the expense of carbohydrates and that can adapt to anaerobic life, possesses the requirements required to decalcify and decay teeth", as lysozyme destroys or inhibits the development of some bacteria.
