Duodenal obstructions
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present analysis refers to cases of acute and complete obstruction of the upper segment of the digestive tract; to purely duodenal obstructions from a clinical, pathological, diagnostic and therapeutic point of view.
There is still a certain degree of controversy in some aspects: degrees of malrotation and its real participation in obstructive conditions; alterations of the second portion of the duodenum in the pancreas annul its embryological basis, if there is stenosis or purely extrinsic strangulation in cases where pancreatic clamping of the duodenum has been found.
