Abstract

In a previous work (by Naranjo and Naranjo) we found that there was a mutual potentiation between succinylcholine and coimycin, in the neuromuscular blocking effect of these drugs. Although the blocking effect of colimycin could be due to a direct action of this antibiotic on motor endplate receptors, the strong potentiation of the effect of succinylcholine seemed to depend rather on a possible blockade of true cholinesterase..
