30 years after acupuncture in Ecuador.

Abstract

November 29, 2002 marked the 30th anniversary of the beginning of acupuncture in the country and to remember this fact we will refer to the conference that was held at the Carlos Andrade Marín Hospital, before an audience of prominent professionals, including clinicians, neurologists , neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, etc. The same was commented by the press of the Capital, the dissertation in the House of Ecuadorian Culture "Benjamín Carrión" and later talks and practical demonstrations could be considered as the beginning of this Asian Country therapy, which would open the field to the joint studies on acupuncture that were being exercised empirically in various countries of the world, including those of America, where the practice was associated with certain secret societies or would be perfected as mystery, trick or stoicism.
