A Symposium in honor of Darwin
Main Article Content
Abstract
On the afternoon of February 14, 2009, an important symposium was held for the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and for the Ecuadorian Biology Society, nucleus of Pichincha. We celebrate the bicentennial of the birth of the famous Charles Darwin with a series of conferences in which his theories and the scientific charm of the Galapagos Islands were exposed, all this, intertwined with some of the new advances in evolutionary knowledge.
