Notes on the vascular flora of Galapagos

Abstract
The botanical collection made by Darwin in the Galapagos in 1835, when he visited the Islands on his voyage with the Beagle, was the most complete collection in its time; these collections were sent to the herbarium in Cambridge and represented the incentive to write the first treatise on Galapagos plants, published by J. D. Hooker (1847), called: An Enumeration of the plants of the Galapagos Archipelago; with descriptions of those that are new.
